Advanced Drawing 2019-2020
My theme from the Terra Forma card was, "how can I show the relationship between loneliness and pathways through my drawings using pencil and shading." In my drawing I've demonstrated that in everyone's life there is always two choices in life, and one of them can be good or the worst turn for life. But you yourself will have to chose for yourself as its your life.
This Project we had to produce a piece between two famous artists and their art work. The girl in this drawing is suppose to represent me showing affection to my hobby of horses. Which comes from Lucian Freud's self-portraits that show many emotions throughout each piece. The background is suppose to show how peaceful the hobby is and how much beauty it is as well. Which comes from the side of Kehinde Wiley's art pieces of backgrounds. Plus her pieces gives the viewer more to see than just one object in the drawing/picture.
The project was to create your own character design. I created a fallen angel and his companion that is a wolf, they have the appearance of evil, but they both aren't there to cause trouble. They are actually there to help those needing help. The angel himself carries a teal sword that helps him fight those who are too strong to fight on hand-to-hand combat. His wolf, has razor sharpe blade-like nails that help him rip into his enemy easily.
The project we did as a class was Kill The Pen, we each got one pen and we had to create a piece that would use up all the ink inside the pen. The theme was horror/nightmares which I have a terrifying phobia of clowns with like a darken mouth like it never ending. I also have a phobia of weird shaped mirrors for some reason that I look a them I feel like they will come to life with someone I don't know and will kill me. Also of creepy clown smiles it still freaks me out along with red balloons because of 'It".
I feel that I could've made the spirals a lot darker on some of them but due to time I didn't have enough time to finish or retouch up. Also I could have added like smaller images in the mirror. but over all I think its a very different piece than what I had pictured.
